In this thought-provoking episode of Mindset Matters Patrick and Steffany courageously delve into the fascinating realm of perception versus reality.
Listen in as they look under the hood of this complex engine that powers our view of the world. Together they share personal anecdotes to shed light on the moments when they found themselves confronted with the stark contrast between others' perception of them and their own reality of life and circumstances. These stories are reminders that what one person perceives as truth may not necessarily align with the tangible experiences and truths of another.
As they navigate an increasingly divisive and polarized world, Patrick and Steffany emphasize the importance of considering individual perspectives before proclaiming them as objective reality. They explore how our emotions and way of communicating can subtly, or not so subtly distort and skew our perception, causing us to lose sight of the reality unfolding around us. In this open conversation, they challenge you to question your own assumptions, inspiring a deeper look at the impact perception can have on the way we interpret and navigate the world.

The journey of self discovery takes on many forms, from reading amazing authors who we can learn from and gain perspectives to coaching and conversation, mixed with a healthy dose of introspection, and reflection because the commitment to defining who we really are is actually pretty intentional and it takes work
Of course those who have a fixed mindset say this is who I am and the way I am whereas those with a growth mindset says let me look closer at who I am being…and ask themselves question is this my most authentic self or am i operating on some old belief systems, or not willing to show up for who I really am, and a quick hint to the answer is that yes you are, we all are…and then adding the question of am i living my core or true values or am i living a set of values that actually don’t belong to me. The journey of self discovery really is a lifelong commitment to being your greatest and most authentic self.
But what does being authentic really even mean?
In its essence Authenticity, is a word we often hear and even use but may not fully grasp.
So let take a look at what it means to be authentic so we can be on the same page for this conversation. Let's look at the meaning of the word based on google search
By definition authenticity is the state of being true to oneself, aligning our actions, beliefs, and values with our core identity. It's about stripping away the layers of societal expectations and front facing persona and finding the courage to embrace who we truly are.

In our recent episode of our "Everyday Millionaire - Mindset Matters" podcast, Steffany and I engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on the concept of "The Power of Now What." The idea originated with Steffany and over the years she has shared the significance of exploring and embracing uncertainty, living in the present moment, and taking intentional action. In this article, my intention is to delve deeper into the insights we shared on the show, providing you, with some actionable or at least meaningful food for thought that you can apply in your life.
Today, of you are like many there is a good chance you’re tired of those times of feeling stuck in the past or being anxious and worrying about the future. Do you ever become aware of your self-talk and hearing yourself wishing and hoping for a sense of peace, contentment even joy in the present moment? If you do, then it's time to discover the power of "now what?"

In our journey through life, we often encounter resistance. Whether it's resistance to change, new ideas, or even difficult conversations, resistance can hinder our growth and create barriers in our relationships. In their recent podcast on their episode #82 of Mindset Matter they explored the concept of resistance, its impact on our mindset, and how it influences our ability to communicate and build meaningful connections. The point out that by understanding and addressing resistance, we have the opportunity to unlock our full potential and cultivate a positive and open mindset.
Defining Resistance:
Resistance can be defined as the refusal to accept or comply with something, either through action or argument. It is the force that arises when we are confronted with ideas, situations, or emotions that challenge our beliefs or comfort zones. Resistance can manifest as a physical sensation in our bodies, such as tension, tightness, or unease. It often stems from a fear of the unknown, a desire to protect our ego, or a reluctance to let go of familiar patterns.

In this tongue-in-cheek podcast episode, hosts Patrick and Steffany take a closer look at the elusive concept of life work balance. They argue (with each other) that the idea of balancing work and life is a myth and that striving for it can actually lead to more stress and anxiety. Instead, they propose a different approach: focusing on what you love. By breaking down life into seven areas – physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, relational, vocational, and financial – they invite you to consider how doing what you love can help you achieve a sense of ‘balance’ fulfillment and happiness in all areas of your life. Join Patrick and Steffany as they share their insights and personal experiences on how to find balance in an unbalanced world.
