Mindset Matters #60 - Getting to Know Your Fear
Fear and anxiety often occur together, but the terms are not interchangeable. Even though the emotions commonly overlap, your experience with them differs based on their context. Fear relates to the belief of a known or perceived threat, whereas anxiety follows from an unknown, unexpected, or a threat that is not clear. Fear and anxiety both produce a similar stress response, but many experts believe that there are important differences between the two. These differences can account for how we react to various stressors in our environment. It seems we are living in a time when few are not dealing with fear and anxiety to varying degrees…daily!
